Feedback is an essential part of the creative process, but “I liked it,” “It was funny,” and “I don’t get it,” don’t help an actor or designer who genuinely wants to improve. What kind of feedback moves the needle on creative work? How do we help students speak to the work, not just compliment their friends? How do we help emerging artists define their goals for their audience’s experience?
